About Us
Our Mission
Our goal at Flashbang Studios is simple: To create awesome games that anyone and everyone can enjoy. We are dedicated to creating and publishing games that push the technology of casual entertainment forward.
Company History
Flashbang was founded in 2003 by Mike Kime, Matthew Wegner, Shane Wegner, and Sean Weilage. Our first game, Beesly's Buzzwords, was released in fall 2003. Beesly's Buzzwords received critical acclaim and was nominated as a finalist for the Independent Games Festival 2004.
We took the honor of the winning the first-annual Project Goldmaster award at the 2004 IGF, which resulted in a development contract for Cartoon Network. We created a game for the late-night cartoon show Sealab 2021 in just four months. Sealab 2021: Sweet Mayhem was released in fall 2004 to the delight of the show's fans.
Our most recent game, Glow Worm, was nominated as an Art/Audio finalist in the 2006 IGF. We have one more casual game on the way, Potion Motion, and then we'll be moving into some newer territory with crazier, more experiment games. Keep an eye out!
